DANCE for KIDS
The mission of D.A.N.C.E. (Dance & Arts Nurture Creativity & Excitement) is to provide youth access to arts resources that will allow them the opportunity to develop the skills and tools to excel in the arts, to exchange and collaborate ideas, and to create and perform work for their communities. D.A.N.C.E. aims to help youth flourish by building self-confidence & self-esteem, and cultural awareness & real connections.
Jolieba has taught at schools across Los Angeles including UCLA Summer Programs, Windward School, SAMO High, Jordan High, Brentwood Middle School, UES, Brasil Brasil Cultural Center, Art Share, and Boys & Girls Club. She was an Arts Bridge recipient at UCLA and has trained and performed with the Music Center Education Division.
Jolieba has a versatile dance background. Her training includes Hip-Hop, House, Locking, Popping, Jazz, Modern, Capoeira, Afro-Brazilian, Afro-Cuban, Salsa, and West African.
